Your age in a given year depends on whether your birthday has happened yet. Someone born in 2015 turns 14 in 2029, but is still 13 until the birthday. That is why this calculator shows your age on your birthday, on 1 January and on 31 December of the year you choose.
With a full date of birth, the calculator measures completed calendar years from the birth date to your birthday, to 1 January and to 31 December of the chosen year. With only a birth year it subtracts the years.

Your age on 1 January is the age you had at the start of the year, before most birthdays. Your age on 31 December is the age you reach by the end of the year. They are the same only if your birthday falls on 1 January.
Yes. Type just the four-digit birth year, such as 2015, and the calculator subtracts it from the chosen year. The result is the age reached during that year, which is one year less before the birthday.
Yes. Enter any year on or after the birth year. For example, someone born in 1990 turned 25 in 2015.
