This calculator uses calendar arithmetic rather than dividing a day count by 365. That matters because months have different lengths and leap years add February 29.
Age is calculated in completed years, completed months and remaining calendar days.
Age = completed years + completed months + remaining daysIf a birth-day number does not exist in a comparison month, the calculation uses the last valid day of that month for the calendar step.

The same date interval is 1,933 total days, which is why a simple “years × 365” shortcut is not exact.
